With 3.13, security is further improved, and some tweaks have been done to prevent accidentally responding to an Alert, or inputting information that can not be processed correctly.
- Keyboard shortcuts that are active have been adjusted. Previously, when receiving an Alert, it was possible to inadvertently respond to this by pressing ‘R’. This now only responds to default shortcut ‘Alt-R’.
- Fields that can be filled by the user (Location/Telephone/Username) are now preventing some disallowed characters from being entered.
- Configuration from the MyLGB portal is now being served through an encrypted endpoint.

Feature changes [LGB-684] As a lgb windows user, I want to toggle the ability to respond to alerts via keyboard shortcut >After some reports of Alerts being 'missed', it was found these Alerts were accidentally being responded to by pressing 'R' as they were received. The keyboard shortcut for this action no longer responds to 'R', but requires 'Alt-R' as is more common across the solution. Bugfixes [LGB-1222] lgbwin must sanitise data inputs that have reserved purpose in messaging protocol >`|` and `¬` (pipe and negation) characters are no longer allowed in data inputs for Location, Telephone, and Username, as they will cause messages inside the infrastructure to be misinterpreted. [LGB-1291] lgbsvc crashed: Unhandled: System.IO.IOException: Unable to write data to the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine >It was found that the underlying Little Green Button service could throw an exception in some circumstances. The underlying cause was identified and correctly handled. Maintenance [LGB-1123] LGBWIN cease checks for software update after licence expired >To help lighten unnecessary burden on infrastructure, periodic checks for a new version are now disabled for clients that currently have an expired licence. [LGB-1272] Prefer using sconfig.lgb.com, not config.lgb.com >To further enhance security, and in preparation for retiring this endpoint, Little Green Button will now only connect to sconfig.lgb.com to find its [[MyLGB Portal|MyLGB]] configuration.
