see the help pages accessible via the Little Green Button or contact us for support. Operating system , machine speed, ram etc The Little Green Button is an extremely 'light' piece of software. If you are running Windows 98 and above - it will work! The Program 'Sits on top' of all other applications so is always easily accessible. You can change the size of the button or hide it completely. It is always available and fully-functional from the task-bar. How much memory / processor / network does it use? Hardly any. It's a tiny app which only talks on the network occasionally. What networking requirements are there? The Little Green Button requires the clients to have TCP/IP installed. It is unlikely that you are running a computer that does not support this popular protocol, but note that some early installations of Windows 98 did not install this by default. How does it work on my network? When the Little Green Button is double clicked to request assistance a message is transmitted to all computers running the LGB software. When somebody responds another message is transmitted to all computers. These messages are minute and will not interfere with other traffic on the network. If you have a branch site On a separate subnet, please call us and we’ll add the capacity to your licence. Will my firewall run with it? It’s possible there will be a conflict – easy to sort out - call us if the problem arises. Our system is already slow – will it slow things further? No - The Little Green Button is a small application that uses minimal resources on the client PCs. Network traffic is negligible as the client Little Green Buttons only “talk” when there is an active assistance request. The “Master” will broadcast a short message periodically to keep the licences on the clients up to date. ...and that’s it!
