I have 10 sites but no more than 50 computers over the 10 sites, can I have them under one licence?

The Little Green Button is designed for mutually supporting sites. Therefore, if you have a remote site that needs to be supported by the main site then yes, you could use one Little Green Button licence to cover both sites.

 

How do I know if the Little Green Button is going to work for my organisation?

I prefer to use an 'under the desk' panic button.

No problem, we can supply those too. Panic switches that connect to your PC are available for those that prefer a physical button, they work with the Little Green Button software.

 

How do you activate the panic alarm?

What happens if I click on the Little Green Button accidently?

The panic alarm is only triggered by a double click. If you do double click on the button in error then simply double click again to cancel the alarm. The alert that will have already displayed on the other computers will change to show that the alert has been cancelled. We strongly advise that cancelled requests are still followed up.

 

Can I change the size of the button?

Yes there are several sizes of button to choose from and this can be changed easily by the computer user as often as they wish.

 

Can I move the button, it’s in the way?

Yes easily - you can always click and drag the Little Green Button to any position on your computer screen.

 

I use several different software programs, will it be compatible with everything?

Yes the Little Green Button works with all programs. It will sit above any programs running, so is always available if needed. The alerts that appear if anyone activates a Little Green Button also appear above all programs running.

 

Is it just for the health sector?

No, although originally designed for the Health Service in the UK it is suitable for any organisation that wishes to provide security for their computer users. Little Green Button is currently available worldwide.


 

How much does the Little Green Button cost?

For a standard Little Green Button licence for up to 50 PCs it costs £100+VAT per year. Please see our Cost page for more information including our discounts for larger orders.

 

Is it a one-off cost or per year?

The licence is renewed annually.

 

Why do we have to pay annually?

The licence fee is a support fee - whenever you have an issue - we are here to help. Telephone and Email support available 8am-5pm(GMT) Monday to Friday.

How much does Little Green Button cost? (£100/year +)

 

How do we buy Little Green Button for our organisation?

First download a free trial (this is the full working version of the Little Green Button software). You can purchase the Little Green Button at any point during your trial by visiting our licencing site (through your Little Green Button). The software will then be licenced and will continue to work, any remaining free days will be added to your licence.

 

Is there support available if I need it and does it cost extra?

How do we know which Little Green Button has been triggered?

If someone double clicks on their Little Green Button to request assistance, all other computers on the network will receive an alert. The alert will appear above all other programs running, it will display the location of the Little Green Button which has been triggered. The location is defined by the person who installs the Little Green Button but can be updated by anyone as necessary.

 

Our building has 4 floors, is there any way to prevent users on the top floor receiving alerts from users on the bottom floor?

Yes, you can set up Panic Groups for this and similar situations. For example, users in Panic Group 2 will only send and receive panic alerts within Group 2. However, any users can elect to receive panic alerts from all groups if this is appropriate.

 

Does it make any noise?

There is no audible alarm from the PC where the Little Green Button has been triggered, it has been designed this way so you can request assistance discreetly. On each PC you can opt to have an audible alarm when an alert appears if you wish, obviously this would only work if the PC has speakers and a sound card.

 

No, it alerts all the people in your building. Internal responses are faster. You can then decide about the police afterwards, though a fast local reaction will defuse a situation before it develops.
